As some of you might know, with my illnesses my husband and I sleep in separate rooms or he would never get any sleep! I am up and down all night.
When Bogart was being trained, he was not allowed in any bed. I recall having an issue with this as that's where I wanted him! SO, for 2 years, Bogart has been getting on my bed on command and then leaving me.....I guess he just felt it wasn't his place. WELL! He has spent the last 3 nights snuggled next to me allllllll night long! He just feels so warm and snuggly! He lines his entire back against me like a pillow. I am sooooooo HAPPY!! Also, I think the 2 year mark has made him a bit different in other ways too. Since he goes everywhere with me whether with my husband or not, he minds me so much more than my husband! I mean, he DOES mind him..........but Bogart is just becoming so much more attentive to me and sensitive to all my needs. I really can see why a SD or therapy dog must be at least a year old before they start training. In fact, I'm starting to see full maturity closer to 2 years old. He was good before.......but even better now! I AM FILLED WITH JOY!!!

McGee will NOT stay on the bed or the couch with me. He always gets off. I think he likes the hardwood floors cause they're cool.

That is sweet...my dogs love to sleep with me and with Dave. I have one girl, Gerry, who does what Bogie does, she has "her spot" on the bed and that is stretched out along my side/back depending on how I am sleeping...and she is so gentle, when she gets up, she picks her way over me so that she is careful not to step on my arm or leg...she finds exactly the right spot to step...same thing when she is getting up on the bed...her side is next to the wall, so she has to go over me to get there and back...she is a sweetheart. (And I have one sleeping on my feet and one next to the one by my feet. hahahaha...they all have their place. (But none of them are as careful as Gerry!)
