Default Useless things you buy for your doodles!

Thought this would be fun...what items have you bought for your doodle(s) that they have either hated and/or never actually used?

I went out and bought 2 comfy big-ole dog beds the other day for my guys. Neither uses them, they really prefer the couches. So there's some wasted money.

Also bought one of those brushes that dispense an odor dedotraizer (sp?) when you brush. Doodles hated it and would constantly lick themselves afterwards - so another thing I wasted my money on.

And buying actual dog-stuffed toys from the pet shop - when really they prefer any cheapie stuffed animal/toy I buy. And would prefer a rag over anything else.

I should really remember to only go to the pet store and buy dog food. LOL

Oh, my goodness...so many things!
Let's see...those citronella bark collars...yuck! Bought something like 5 of them...tossed them after one day!
And, continuing with the theme of barking...one of those stupid gadgets that is supposed to emit a sound that distracts a barking dog and then they stop barking...because it beeps whenever they bark? Well, we had beeping AND barking! Tossed that too.
Kong toys. My dogs hate them. Teething toys.
Dog beds, my dogs eat them, de-stuff them, or pee on them.
We even bought those "cot" type beds...and, mind you, we always buy enough for all of our dogs...so, after they shredded the canvas...the puppies had a lot of fun climbing on them (or what was left of them) and hiding under the canvas.
Retractable leashes, Gentle leaders, couplers, fancy water containers...you know, the big jug that drains into a bowl? Uh huh...it was a really fun toy.
Gosh, I could go on for ever...not to mention the hundreds of dollars worth of foods that we bought and switched...(especially those expensive ones that you are supposed to mix with meat? Honest Kitchen and Sojo...ugh!)

It's a billion dollar industry convincing people dogs need theses things. I would say 10% of the things we have bought the dogs like. But, 100% of the things they steal that they are not supposed to have, they love. Its cheaper to buy my son new stuffed animals, my wife new underwear, myself new socks, and let the dogs steal a few items than anything from the pet store. The most useless....the coupler for walking two dogs. It teaches them you have to pull harder to get where you want and htey drag eachother all over the sidewalk. Give me two leashes and I'll play the switch hands game any day of the coupler.

My doods do love balls ( ) so we have a lot of them, glowing ones, blinkers, bouncers, soft ones, but they are well loved.

Don't have any experience with this yet but I do like the ball idea. I have to find one of those if Autumn doesn't like it I know my kids well

SO MANY THINGS!!
I swear....it's like little kids. You buy them tons of toys and find them in the cupboards playing with your pots and pans!

LOL I actually have gotten lucky with Saka. He loves everything we get him. However usually he gets to go with to pick them out. We have found that a few cheap stuffed animals work best. Also we got him this ball that makes all kinds of noise as it gets bounced around and every time it moves. OMG so annoying for daddy but Saka loves it! LMAO He is also a good boy and he doesn't chew up anything that is not "his" to chew!
