They did a Designer Dog Special.
I enjoy seeing the Labradoodle's and Goldendoodle's. VERY COOL!

Yes, Jac! It was!!
It told of how easy they are to train, groom........and have very limited health issues. One of the issues is with the eyes?? They went on to say that Labradoodles train easier than Goldendoodles. All was positive! They showed some really SWEEEEEEET pups too! I wasn't aware that Labradoodles are the very FIRST Designer dog!

Glad to hear it was positive PR. They are wonderful dogs, of course, so any honest reporting should be glowing! Is there a link to watch it online?
Not sure if they are the first designer dog, since most breeds are designed from two or more existing breeds, and cockapoo's have been popular since the 70's. I do think they are the most succesfully marketed and most popular designer dog so they are sort of the poster dog for that title (even though I do NOT like it, personally). |

Oh, I would have loved to see the program. I hope that they will air it on the internet. They usually do after it has aired. I am happy to hear that it was a positive story.
I agree with Todd...they may be the first dogs called "designer" but they are certainly not the first "designed" dogs...and, the term "designer dog" was coined as an insult to us...funny, it now seems to be an accolade! hahaha |

Ah man I was going to watch it but for some reason that channel was acting up on my TV. Most of the time they replay the episodes so if you have a DVR you can just set it to record. Sometimes the reruns are on the next day at like 2am

Oh! I found it! They do have a good attitude towards Doodles...both Golden and Labra...that makes me happy.

I recorded it on my DVR, I will try to save it to a file that I can post someplace for you guys to watch. It was an ok show, but they said some truly stupid things- like labradoodles require little if any grooming but goldendoodles require alot of grooming.
