At last a surgery date

At last I have a surgery date to fix my hand! November 20th is the date if there are no problems. Very quick fix for a long problem that has gotten in my way when typing. The Dr. said it could take up to a year to be out of pain and that is about what it took the other 2 times. The pain got less soon after the surgery though, it just lingered for a long time on and off. I am a year and 3 weeks closer to pain free than I was though!!! The Dr. warned me that this finger is a bit more sensitive than the other 4 were. I guess the nerves are closer together and there are a few more possible problems. He won't do preventive surgery and work on my little finger at the same time due to possible very bad complications. Anyway just a little while longer and I can type a lot more. So enjoy my quiet times because I will have lots to say when typing doesn't hurt so much!

I know, Kathy!! Sometimes news is GOOD when there's finally a DATE to fix us.

Kathy, that is good news...not that it will be fun having surgery, but when you are looking at easing some pretty serious pain, it is a relief!
