Default Runny nose

The last time Bogart was at the vet for his eye inflammation, the vet made a comment about his runny nose.
That's been awhile now. Bogart seems to ALWAYS have a runny nose!
Does anyone else find this of their doodle? It's beginnning to concern me that he either has allergies or something else going on.
I mean.........It sometimes DRIPS!

Not here. Only wet noses after a drink of water. Otherswise they are cold and damp but not dripping. A very dry nose is a problem too, but dripping might be more than the normal amount of wetness.

Hmmm.........looks like we should take a look into this then. Especially, since the vet mentioned it and it continues. I'm wondering if he'll be better in the winter. Maybe it's allergies.

Could be allergies, could be something in his nose, could be the flu, could be an irritation...does he have a fever? Everything else working okay?
I would not assume allergies...since it can be caused by so many things, I'd see the vet. If it is the flu or something that can be treated, you don't want to wait to see if it is seasonal allergies...if it IS allergies, best to rule out the other stuff so that you KNOW.
Bogie...honey...stop worrying your mama! (And be well!)

Jac,
This is a strange thing. I'm going with allergies, but still need to check it out.
For example, he will be normal.....then yesterday, Chloe and I were walking him. Lots of wet leaves around etc. His nose was dripping wet! In fact leaves were sticking to it!!
Today....he's normal.

Took Bogart to the vet today..........ALLERGIES!
Decided to do this when he started to sound like he had KC aside from the runny nose.
We're doing Benadryl for now.....up to 75MG as needed! I gave him 50 and he's a tad loopy!
I'm about to take him for a walk...........he should be fine and more comfortable, but maybe a little drowsy??
They decided NOT to do steroids for now...THANK GOODNESS! The water consumption and peeing is a major PITA!!

Linda, I am glad that you have a diagnosis...not happy that Bogie has allergies but at least you will know how to help him be more comfortable.

Thanks, Jac!
He did quite a bit of coughing today.
So, I went and got a pedicure and this woman was talking to Bogart. She said her dog is SICK with a major sinus infection. The vet has no other diagnosis at this time so put the dog on amoxycillin and steroids.
She said that it might even be his TOOTH! They're hoping it is JUST sinuses.

Well that would make perfect sense! When I get sinus infections they can last for months before they get bad enough to take care of...and the drainage causes congestion and coughing...crossing fingers for relief from the antibiotics!
