Okay........I read the book and people prepared me. It did NO GOOD!! I have one question for those who saw it. Did they have to make that ending SO REAL? That is exactly how my Weimeraner/Lab died. It was absolutely AWFUL for me!! This all leads me to my OH SO OFTEN rant of how much I LOVE MY BOGART!! You guys...........Doodle's are simply THE BEST! I love this little guy so much I could CRY!! He makes me sooooo HAPPY! So many things are going on in my life right now and I just feel with him there...I will be fine. OH! He does the same for Walt too!! I'm not placing one over the other. BUT! WOW! The unconditional love of this dog is AMAZING! I never want to see that movies ENDING again. I have it recorded, so I might watch all the FUN stuff. But, now I know when to STOP watching! Just my little 2 cents for the day!

I have heard that Marley passes away at the ending, but have not seen all of the movie. This weekend I got to the part were Marley had jumped half way out of the car window on his way to get neutered. LOL! Of course Samson had just gotten neutered, I'm sure if he knew what was going on, he would've gladly done the same thing!!
Doodles are amazing! I don't really think people understand how great they are until you get one. |

I heard he died at the end, so I WILL NOT WATCH IT. I am in complete denial about my doodles dieing one day. I dont think I can handle it and dont want to pay money to see what it's like via a movie. I got taken by surprise in the movie Quil and I balled, I even balled in that Will Smith movie about Zombies when his dog died after it became a zombie-dog (I am Legend?).

I don't know why I insisted on watching it. It's a true story and I knew what happens. But, I thought he just died .....not the way he died! Too many memories of my Toby dying that way.
Todd...my husband is like you. Actually, so am I!! That's why I can't believe I watched it ALL! OH! BTW!! In the very beginning, Owen Wilson and his friend are talking about him getting a dog. They say LABRADOODLE 2-3 times! It confused me, because I know Marley wasn't a Labradoodle. Interesting though that they used the name!!

I have burried so many pets, and yes, I bawled my eyes out at the movie too!
My husband would not admit it, but I heard him sniffling... I am so grateful to my pets that died peacefully in their sleep. The ones that kill me, are the ones that I have to take to the vet & have put to sleep....there is such a guilt feeling there, although you know that it HAS to be done. Although it absolutely kills me, I feel that it is important that I be there with them in their last moments.... |
