Default Strange way Bogart sheds

Bogart was just 2 a week ago. I had heard that it can take that long for puppy coat to come in and there will be some shedding, right?
What is strange about this is that I don't find his hair on clothing and places like the bed......I mean very minimal. Yet, I bought this new vacuum Friday and used it yesterday. It's got a lot of hair in it!
I kind of compare it to my Bouvier. He did the same thing. We had "tumbleweeds" in the corners of the floors. Same with Bogart. They just kind of cluster and like feathers, gather in the corners of the hardwood floors.
It makes sense that anything with hair/fur has to shed some! Even human hair sheds a bit, ya know?

Everytime Walt and I are out n' about, when we're talking to people about Bogart, they say that these dogs don't shed. Every single time, Walt rolls his eyes and says "Yes, they do!"
It ticks me off! Because with my other dogs...THAT was shedding..to me, this is nothing. Yet, eveidence in my new vacuum shows differently, but not my clothes etc. Very strange!!

Does anyone find this going on?

No..... Raleigh's hair is EVERYWHERE!!! I got smart in my old age and put a king size shhet over our quilt...then every morning when I make the bed, I use one of those Scotch Brand sticky lint rollers and roll the sheet.,..I think I have quite a stock portfolio in that company by now...

hahaha...I hear you! We have all sorts of coats...heavy shedding, non-shedding and everything in between! I think that I shed as much as most of my dogs though.

Samson sheds like that. None on my clothes or furniture (thank goodness, I hate pet hair on clothes.) But it collects in those piles on the hardwood floor. I rearranged the living room last night, moved a coffee table that was in the corner and there was a TON of hair underneath and in the corner.

What kind-of vaccum did you get? Does it work on the hardwood? I can never seem to get up all the pet hair with a broom on the hardwood.

I spent hundreds of dollare on different vaccums. I even bought the expensive ROOMBA and SCOOBA! They just break! Or the battery dies. What a PITA!
So I took some expired coupons to Bed Bath and Beyond and got a Eureka Optima!
http://www.target.com/s/183-0496072-914 ... ght_eureka
Only $59.99 and I got 20% off with the coupons! woohoo!! It WORKS!!! It's the green one..........not yellow.......only 12 LBS!

Between Tuesday's seasonal shedding & the feather dust(from the feathers opening up) from the baby parrots I raise, my kitchen can be a dust bomb!
The broom misses ALOT. I bought an electric stick broom for the hard wood floors and love it! Just a quick go over daily keeps things pretty clean.
Now the spots from their beards dripping is a whole different issue...

I bought mine brand new at the thrift shop for $5. (be jealous!!! )
Mine has a filter that I have to replace every so often , but it looks like they make them bagless now...

I think there are a lot of brands of these that are the same difference... I just find mine indispensable...

Hey, thanks Judi! I have always wondered how these brooms would work...they are not expensive on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=s ... sell+3106+

I always use a shop vac for my house...it works pretty well and has a powerful suction...I also like that it cleans up spills...so if you have an accident, you clean it up normally and then pour some nature's miracle over it, let it soak in, then get the shop vac out...

I will never again buy a normal vacuum. I think I'll get one of these brooms though! That and a Swifter should keep things pretty clean between big cleaning days.

Go get one Linda! They work great!! No bags to fool with, and the Bissell stick that I have, comes apart to make a small portable vac...I got mine last year in Walmart, and I think it was around $20...have fun shopping!

i'd say my WOOL are rugs the 5x8 and 8 x10ft rugs SHED MORE than MAX or any doodle!!

Max stopped shedding around 1.5yrs ONCE we did the best shot shampoo and COAT KING to him at groomers
we get a TINY bit of fuzz but like i said my wool rugs a few are PITA;s

peanut my f1 GD only sheds at spring time thus quick trip to groomer and clipping down to 1/2 in
no more creamy fuzzies

i also brush my doodles with curved slicker brush 2 to 3 times a week for little while
