This is on the topic of how dogs have evolved and communicate...interesting. And...for any Doodle owners near Duke University, you might want to get involved in the study!

I am so fascinated with this topic that I am attending a week-long conference sponsored by the University of Missouri Veterinary Medicine Research Center for Human-Animal Interaction. Ha!
The conference is titled Human-Animal Interaction: Impacting Multiple Species. I am soooo excited! |

Yes, I do...I already have my plane reservations and my room! Dave is taking the week off of work...he takes a vacation so I can go on vacation!
I am very excited to go...I heard about it from one of my puppy families...the wife is a psychologist at an institution where some seriously ill people are housed and she uses her dog (our pup) as a therapy dog there. She has been so impressed with the dog and his work with people like those at her facility that she has been including me on notifications like this...she told me of the conference (she is going too) and she is the one who sent the link to this article. She is also volunteering to work on our board as an advisor. I am really getting involved in this research because it makes so much sense to me. I am sure that I will be taking notes! |
