AWWW So sorry to hear about your foot. Poor Tia, she looks like she knows she made a boo-boo. Hope your foot gets to feeling better and you don't have to be put in a cast. Get to feeling better!

It is the second time on the same foot! My other foot is sore from walking funny but not from Tia. The fear is that when she stepped on the broken foot it may have knocked the break out of alignment and they may have to go in and fix it. I find out tomorrow. What I meant by the foot that wasn't hurting much is hurting a lot now, is that even though my foot was broken it did not hurt a lot until Tia stepped on it again!

I know Tia did not mean to hurt me I am just frustrated. My ex-mother-in-law said "your bones must be brittle to break just because your dog stepped on it". I told her Tia weighs 80 lbs and she said "OOOH!!" Oh guess what I just realized! Tomorrow Kevin and I will have been married 16 years! I never thought we would make it to 2 years and we get to spend our 16th at the Dr.s!

You guys are Great!!!!

Oh! I misunderstood...I am glad! But I am still sorry that your foot is hurt worse! I think it is likely that Tia may have caused a complete break or a different break since your foot was already weakened...I agree with AM, I hope that they cast you so you can heal.

Contratulations on the marriage milestone! LOL You know how they have different symbols for every year of marriage? (Paper, gold, etc.) Well yours might be "office visit" this year! hahaha Not funny? Sorry...

Glad you are seeing the doc again...hope all is well.

Kathy,
I wish you the best of luck with your foot, and along with the other sage advice you've received, I too hope you get casted, to protect, and keep you in check, so you can heal. Take care, friend....

Ya know, there's something about second marriages, you have a different perspective. With my ex-husband I was looking for romantic interludes, and special dates like anniversaries were always well planned ahead. With my second husband, we've just celebrated 10 years of incredible happiness, and managed to survive some very trying times.. The romance and excitement is so different. We celebrated our 1 yr anniversary with Harry in the hospital with acute diskitis, a high fever and severe back pain. He told me he was sorry I married a "broken down old man", and we laughed it away. After 2 surgeries and 3 months of rehab he was back on his feet and back to work, and we breathed a sigh of relief. I was so grateful I had my man back with good health. And he still brings me coffee each morning, freshly brewed...

Jac, you are so funny!!! Liz that is so special to have that kind of marriage! Kevin is my second marriage and we go through tough times and fighting but when it all comes down to it we love each other. That love is more than the TV type of love because we are so different and both speak our mind. The wonderful thing is we don't throw the "D" word around because we know deep down we both love and need each other so much.

Now about my foot... it seems that another radiologist decided I did not break my foot. Actually the new opinion is a very bad sprain and a deep bone bruise. The second time Tia stepped on my foot she just aggravated it. They treat it the same as a break though so the boot stays on. The difference is when I feel like it I can take the boot off and no more x-rays. I have more pain pills and I feel stupid. I told Kevin I feel like a cry baby. Oh well at least it isn't broken.

Thanks for your wonderful support.

PS I got the note for Tia to be my service dog and the Dr. has approved me to try for the electric cart (like in the stores)!!!

It is good that you can remove the boot when you feel like it...glad that there are no broken bones! I do remember once that a doctor told me that many times a sprain hurts worse than a break...so don't feel like a baby! (Milk it, I say!)

I'm happy to hear you haven't broken your foot again...but I'm sorry for your pain...and by the look on Tia's face, I'm sure she is too! Try to take it easy Kathy...you've been thu quite a lot lately!!!
