Prayers for Annmarie Please!!

Our crazy sweet Annmarie is going thru painful rough times right now with disk problems in her neck..she'll be going in for numerous tests...please say a prayer for her that her pain is alleviated and they can find out what's wrong and fix it! I know I can count on all of you...Thanks so much!

I can relate to 'disc problems in the neck' I had to have surgery for mine, the nerves were compressed so my arm got numb.

Whew...that is encouraging...

UPDATE:

my MRI yesterday showed my problem:
herniated discs that are compressing the nerve on my spinal cord as i saw the Ortho doc today
....no pain meds work and i have a date to see a surgeon
they put me on a call list so anyone who cancels their consult i am next on the list as my appt is Aug27th
but said i hopefully can be seen sooner.

i am home from work till further notice and bored to tears

so for now i'd like to say any prayers for pain relief and a successful surgery soon is my request

Oh annmarie! I hope you've been reading my emails. Missed you today.........busy, busy working and well.........all those other things that go on with my life.

My prayers continue for you!! Just know that you will feel so much better when this is all over with.
I can vouch for that having had a surgery from my car accident and a lumbar spinal stenosis.
AHHHHHHHH......relief is not far off! Hang in there. I wish we lived closer.

nothing is working!! and my brain is working overtime trying to keep up positive thoughts

HOWEVER I do have doodles sit next to me as i find that very calming at times.

I hate to tell you this, but until your ruptured discs are "fixed", any drug will have minimal effect. I pray they get you in really soon.
Pain sometimes can be dealt with via "mind over matter". My fibro etc.............that's how I deal with it at times. But, when your spinal cord is shut off in various spots, there is no such thing when your spine effects the preipheral nervous system. Not much helps until it's fixed.
I wound up sitting in my chair in the classroom and crying. I was afraid of falling again as 90% of my lumbar spine was shut off my the stenosis from my accident. I was told even a 90 year old rarely had it that bad. One day, I cried and couldn't control it. A student went off and got the principal. He immediately came in the room and had me driven home. I was on the table the very next day.
The GOOD news is..........it DOES get better annmarie. Keep telling yourself, from one who knows, this WILL go away!!
(after surgery that is)
