I truely hope I am wrong but it looks like there is a fire speading pretty close to where Jac lives.... prayers for you and yours Jac if I am reading the map right.... hopefully you have your bus for moving your doggies in order.

Hey, thanks! Judi, good call...you are right...the fire is very close. The good news, for us, is that it is moving away from us instead of toward us like the fires last year. So, although we keep an eye on it, we are okay for now.
No bus! You know how you put things off? Well, I have had my eye on the best bus for our needs...you will laugh...it is a prison bus! hahaha It is inexpensive ($2500) and it has room for 30 prisoners...or dogs, whichever we decide to take with us. hahahaha (Seriously, it has cages!)
Really...it is perfect...but even an inexpensive bus is hard to buy when money is tight. So, I keep hoping that the seller won't have a huge run of buyers (ha! Can you imagine?) and that he will talk down in a while.
Maybe we should take up a fund drive for "The Gabby Jack Ranch Prison Escape Vehicle!" hahahaha.
Thanks, you guys...I appreciate you thinking of us. We drove about 2 miles up the canyon from our house and saw the flames...they were about 2 miles further away...so, once again, the fire is within about 4 miles. Let's hope that the winds don't shift.

I have to take my daughter & friend to the "Warped Tour" in Wheatland, close to you I think, on Friday.....
How is the air quality there?

Judi, Wheatland is great...no problem...they are even farther south and west so the fire is not a theat to them at all...(we almost bought land there...glad we didn't...fire and all, I love it here!) Wish I could see you! Air quality is pretty good here, the winds are blowing the smoke away from us but if it turns and blows south or south west, we are in trouble from fire and the smoke!

Our biggest worry is the power station...it is really in the midst of the fire...if it goes, our power will be out. So, if you don't hear from me that is why.

Judi, when you come down to Wheatland, if the fire is going, watch out for highway 49...looks like the fire is headed that way.

On the map, notice the Pleasant Valley Road....if you follow it south, that is where we live. Just off of Pleasant Valley Road.

Jac that is really interesting to look at the map. Thanks for sharing that. I won't stop keeping you all in my prayers until the fire is out. I don't trust fires to keep burning one direction because they are so unpredictable! I am glad you are safe and lets hope the power stays on!

Good morning!
Thanks for those prayers...they are apprecaiated!
The fire is still moving away from us so that is good but the power station is still threatened. We are in a pretty good position so I feel very safe right now.
I can smell the smoke this morning...hanging pretty heavily in the air.
As you can see, I still have power...

I am extremely busy today so I'll touch bases when I can.
I love you guys!
