Default Anyone else have an upper respiratory infection?

I'm just wondering because this is strange.
About 4 days ago, I was in the pharmacy and this woman was talking to me about Bogart and petting him. I saw her wincing in pain. She told me she had a really bad earache and was getting an antibotic.
So, this morning, I wake with a slight sore throat that then went into a THROBBING earache! Looks like I caught it from this woman.
I actually went to bed and had a fever.........sleeping most of the day away.
By 8PM, I was in so much pain that I asked Walt to drive me to the clinic that's open until midnight. My face was all scrunched up in pain and I felt sick to my stomach from the ear pain. I didn't even want to drive.
The doc said I had a flaming ear infection, swollen glands and a red throat. Then she said I'm contagious for FIVE days!
She put me on Ceptin for 10 days and shipped me off!
Is this going around?
waaaaaaaaa

yes it sounds contaigous...and sometimes the ear infection is caused by a sinus infection which is contaigous

years ago my ex motherin law was always getting sinus infections and then my kids and me would get ear infections
from her and need antibiotics. i finally put an end to IT after seeing a topnotch surgical ENT who said if there's an infection
till someone is on antibiotics for 24hours they're contagious. I then after that refused to let my EX mother in law visit
unless she was on antibiotics.....KNOW WHat???? my kids were healthier and so was I !
anytime someone runs a fever that signals in infection and is contaigous whether its viral or bacterial infection.

sorry to hear you're both not feeling well and hope you're doing better asap!!!

OH linda with ear infections you can get dizzy and if sinus related get sick to your stomach with nausea
lose your appetite etc.

Kathy, the sore throat and cough may be something else, but it sounds like it may need treatment.
Annmarie......I always heard the 24 hr theory, which is why the 5 days shocked me!

Walkswith poop is now walksinfear! In fact, it's really funny what happened last night. On the way home from the doctor, we stopped at this Frozen Yogurt place. He went in a bought all of us one.
When we got home, he came in the house with the bag of stuff and I went to the street near a tree to let Bogart pee. From the house I heard this loud @#%~# yell!
I figured he had dropped one of the yogurt cups! hahaha.....right! I walked in a few minutes later and simply asked, "Whose fell?" It was HIS!
I asked if he was going to get another one and he said he'd be fine as there was enough left.
So, I'm sitting here feeding Bogart his and stabbing mine with a spoon. He finishes his quickly and asks if he can have some of mine. Then jumps back and says, "EEUUUU! Forget that! I don't want your disease!"
YAY.......thinks MOI!

I have been on antibiotics for a week now for teeth problems (in fact 2 different kinds because it wasn't working) so I think it is allergies. It doesn't help any that I have inhaled acid reflux and now I really am coughing and wheezing!

Linda I hope you get better quickly.
