leave breeding to the professionals and neuter your pets, please! I understand the idea behind wanting your pet to just have 'one litter' before you neuter; but it's not that easy and while you might multiply the price per pup X number in the litter and think it is a great way to make some extra $$, think again. I have bred dogs before, and in many cases you either break even, or you lose money after selling the pups. When my boxer had her 2nd litter, she had to have an emergency C-section. Out of a champion sired litter of 7, 3 were pure white (undesirable for the breed) and 2 were stillborn, one of the remaining died unexpectedly when a few days old, so I had multiple thousands of dollars in vet bills and the owner of the sire got the only sellable puppy. That same dog died of breast cancer when she wasn't very old, I was told that she could have been spared that if I had spayed her when she was young.
