We are the same way with Charlie! We were really hoping for a dog that could go everywhere with us...and have free roam of the whole house. Due to his shedding, he is only allowed downstairs on the non-carpeted areas....and is not allowed on trips out of town with us. Sounds like the breeder you got him from was only in it for the money! I'm sure that was the case for ours too. When I contacted the lady again a while back, she told me she had another litter of puppies again. Seriously??

Cruiser is almost a year old now. We love him dearly. We do feel a little cheated though from the breeder as he IS a shedder. She had offered us a killer deal stating that the people left a deposit but decided against the purchase allowing her to keep the deposit thus lowering the price for us significantly. Although I appreciate her contacting us, I feel she knew of the type of coat he would have. Anyway, he is here to stay and with us for life. We are just unable to have him join us when we do family get togethers.
