That is so true, Kimberly! I always tell my puppy families that they will get the dog that they create. I promise them that we start with the best we can offer, and yet all puppies have their challenges (digging, chewing, barking, potty training...) but that if they take the time early on to teach their puppy and if they give it lots of love, they will have an excellent adult pet.

Hi and welcome to you and your adorable pup!
What you've been told about labradoodles sounds exaggerated to me...it may be true for some dogs but definitely not all. My experience is more like the others who've commented above--groomers always say how easy my dog is to work with. Seriously! Re: energy, my doodle has plenty but we get out nearly every morning for exercise and that's enough to keep him relaxed most of the day and evening. Or until he sees a squirrel out the window, that is. Best of luck!

I have to admit when we first got Tia I was about to give her up to someone that was better than I with puppies. She howled every night for a week or more. The neighbors commented on our dog's voice esp. when they awoke to her at 3 am. Out of desperation I put her in her crate by my bed. No luck. After noticing she did not potty in the house because I took her out every time she squeaked, I decided to bring her to bed. I was awake all night the first 3 nights but then we both slept just fine without any howling. Tia still sleeps with me. I guess I am an old softy but it works for us. I can not stand the idea of ever being without my TT as I call her.
I am posting some pictures of her as a baby and then as a 19 month old. Welcome to the group. I am new too. I love these people and their dogs!!! Kathy |

AWWWWWWWWWW! I want one! Oh I have one but bigger now. Kevin kind of wants me to quit looking at such cute pictures because I want another one. Two dogs is more than enough but I want to cuddle them all! She sure is smart!
