Welcome to the wonderful world of Doodleland!
Your Abby is very precious. I'm sure you are nuts about your Abby just like the rest of us are about our doodles. Consider yourself lucky to have found such an awesome forum. I know I did. Not only will you find very useful info but you can make some wonderful friends too. See ya around, Annie(the doodle) & Leah(her mommy)

Abby looks very very cute! Welcome to the forum.
Can you tell us about what type of therapy training you and Abby are doing? Stella and I are about to enroll in basic obedience. She is 7 months old. After that, I am going to explore therapy dog training. A few organizations around certify therapy dog teams, and there is one dog trainer locally who works exclusively at training therapy dog teams and organizes the programs at some hospitals here. She doesn't accept dog students until they are 1 year old, though. Did you do basic obedience, get the canine good citizen, etc.? Just wondering how your therapy training is going and whether you would change anything about it. I have noticed on the boards that a lot of doodle people (me included) are interested in doing therapy with their dogs. Thanks, and welcome again!

Welcome, Abby is beautiful, I hope you can post more pics. I would be interested in hearing more about the therapy too. That is something I would like to look into with my Sadie, once she is old enough. There is a great program at a training center here that works with local hospitals.

Thanks for all the welcome responses! I didn't get to check back until today. I am working with a trainer in Dallas who has started a new therapy dog nonprofit organization http://www.pawspartnersinc.org! Abby will pass her canine good citizen next week (keeping fingers crossed) and in a few more weeks will test for her therapy dog certification!
Where do I post more pictures? |
