Mabel pictures as promised
Mabel was 10 months old yesteday. Here's some from 5 days up until last week.
5 days old, having lunch  Mabel is the one in the middle with 3 of her 6 siblings.  Lean on me  Can I come out now?  With her BIG apricot brother  Home and well settled in  Watching TV  Aren't I gorgeous...  I might need a paw bath  The little blonde dot is Mabel taking, literally, a flying leap onto the beach the first time she saw one. This was on New Years Day  Well hellloooooooooo...  I found your frisbee now don't lose it again!  WASH ME!!  All clean  Don't take me off the bed, I'm sleeping...   Daddy R.I.P  SnowDoodle!  I can fly!!!!!!

Mabel is a cutie! I love how they get those froggy legs (while watching TV)
Rusty was the same the first time he saw the beach. Bounced around like Tigger.

Welcome to Bella and Mabel! Love the pictures, and so sorry about Mabel's dad - he was a beautiful dog - looks like he and Mabel are the same color!

Aw thanks everyone. She is a real sweetie, more than we could ever have hoped for.
I had a dog who died 2 years ago, almost 3 weeks shy of his 20th birthday. I thought I would never get another dog again but realised as long as I wasn't looking for a replacement for him, a dog would be a wonderful addition to our fur-family. The minute we saw her we knew she was going to be ours. At 5 days old, picking her out of a litter of 7 wasn't easy but there was something about her. She never once cried on the long journey home, never cried during the night, got along fabulously with the cats on their terms) and is just a 100% pure joy. She has a slight fear of small boys and last night ate one of my shoes(!!) but we cannot imagine what life would be like without her, or what it was like before her. |
