Hello from Rio in Calgary, Alberta

Hello everyone,

this is Rio, our Australian Labradoodle, and he is one year old today. We have had Rio since he was 10 weeks old and he is very much loved by our four girls Christina 14, Carolyn 12, Stephanie 7 and Monica 4, my husband Steve and of course me, Claudia. Rio has become our buddy in the last 10 month. He helps Christina and Carolyn through their hormonal ups and downs, is Stephanies first playmate when she comes home from school, is Monicas best friend when her siblings are in school and my husband and I get exercise through walking with Rio and some romantic walks just the two of us with Rio. We love our Rio! We have been reading the posts in this forum for a couple of weeks. We enjoy reading what everybody has to say, have learned a lot from you all and love your photos. Below are a couple photos of Rio. One from May 2008 and one from today. We are looking forward doodling with you.

Rio is a cutie!!

My Casey is Chocolate also!! I love it! It is amazing how are pets can sense when we need someone to play with or just some quiet time hanging out and snuggling!!

Hi Claudia and Rio and welcome. Happy Birthday to you Rio. I also live in Calgary Claudia ( I think there are a couple of us Calgarians on here). We have a chocolate doodle named Oliver. Rio's a handsome dood. Love the pics. He could be Ollie's cousin, they look similar.

Happy birthday to the handsome Rio and welcome to you and your family. Did you import Rio or was he bred in Canada? If from Australia, where? Our labradoodle, Hugo, comes from Tasmania. It is interesting to see where the dogs originated.

Welcome!! I am also from Calgary and have an F1 black labradoodle. Nice to see another Calgarian on the forum - I think that makes 3 of us?

Maybe we will see you at an off-leash sometime. We live in Evergreen. I was thinking Rio looks alot like Ollie too....
