We were hoping at some point to train him for some therapy work, but we were going to take our time with that as my son is only 3.5y. So our plan was just having a family pet, and letting our dood mature a little bit, get some obedience training etc... And then maybe in a couple years doing some therapy training. Have you seen this video? It is very good example of a therapy dog working with a child with autism.

Welcome Sharlene and Maggie,

What a champ at only 18 mos. My daughter is getting ready to graduate from college and hopes to work with children with autism at Kennedy Krieger here in Baltimore. If she finds out that dogs could also be involved she'll be really excited.
