Hi, all!
I am a mom of young children, and looking for a dog for our family. I have looked at the standard poodle and now the labradoodle. I want a laid back, gentle dog who doesn't shed and is loving and attached to her people. After looking extensively at poodles , I had a friend talk to me about labradoodles. I think that maybe this breed might be better with really small kids than poodles? Maybe more tolerant? It seems that that is what golden retrievers and labs are known for, at least. Also, I know that Poodles have lots of health concerns and I want to try and find as healthy a dog as possible for our family.Maybe a multigen Aus. labradoodle would be healthier than most Spoos? Anyway, I am reading lots of posts and trying to make a good informed decision. Also, I should add that we cannot at this time afford to buy a dog at what most breeders charge ( and I totally understand the cost of breeding is very high, so I am not complaining about the cost) , so I am looking at the guardian program option. Hope to learn a lot here, and get to know some of you! |

My vote is for the Australian MultiGen
I have a 8.5 month old and he is the coolest dog I have ever had. I was raised with poodles and there is no comparison. They are different in temperament and personality and coat and everything else!! My Doodle is so much more relaxed and happier than any dog I've ever been around! |
