Hi My name is Moe, I have 4 kids and am looking to add to the madness by getting a labradoodle or goldendoodle. One of the kids has a mild dog allergy so I thought a mulitgen doodle would be good. We've never had a dog before and I'll admit I'm a bit nervous. I've been looking to adopt a dog on Petfinder, I like the idea of rescuing a dog but it is turning out to be much harden than I thought. There are very few available doodles in my area and most seem to have issues with anxiety or children. I've filled out applications for 3 dogs but they were gone before they processed my application.
I'm not sure I would be able to housebreak a puppy so I thought an older dog would be better. The breeders in my area (NYC area) are looking for $1500-$3000 for puppies. I just couldn't pay that much for a dog. If anyone has any advice I'd love to hear from you. I have found internet forums are a great resource and I'm glad to have found you guys! |

Welcome!
Did you see the post with the doodle from New Jersey? It's and F1, but who knows?

I don't know much about the whole fur vs. hair thing, but (and it may not work this way) maybe because it sheds a little it may have little to no dander and may not aggivate the allergies???
Okay so it sounded better in my head, but hopefully it makes sense |
