Default Hello from Alberta, Canada

Hi Everyone! I've already posted a few times but figure I'll give a shout out in this topic too. My name is Kallie and my Doodle is Tehya (hence the name Tehya's Mommy, of course). We're located in Southern Alberta, Canada. I got Tehya from a family who couldn't keep her, and it was like winning the lottery. I love seeing everyone's pictures and videos, and hearing all the stories of these cute smart dogs. Its good to have people who know where I'm coming from - I think my friends on facebook are getting sick of my 'new mommy' syndrome.
My fiance and I have had Tehya for about four months, but it feels like she's always been a part of the family.

Here's a couple pictures from our engagement photo shoot that she got to be a part of:

And here is a 'before & after' shot of her hair cut for summer:

And finally, my favorite, this is my mom's yorkie 'protecting' my fiance from Tehya. Tehya doesn't know what to do!:

First of all.......WELCOME TO THE FORUM, KALLIE!!!

Your pictures are sooooooo cute and CONGRATULATION'S ON THE ENGAGEMENT!

I have added that priceless and precious video to my FAVS.
I have to show it to my husband!
ALSO!!! OMGOSH! Tehya & that adorable Yorkie playing together brought tears to my eyes!! Teyha plays just like Bogart. All those little turn arounds, leaps, yawns, stretches......all remind me of my Bogart. But see, it goes beyond that.
Our best friends just lost their Yorkie last week Sunday.
Well...they weren't going to get another dog. My husband and I have been talking to them and just yesterday, they said they want another Yorkie. They're going on a cruise in October. We have promised them we'd be a big help in this new pups life and even would take care of the pup while they are gone.
This video may just help!! Thank you so much for sharing!!

I am glad you made an official introduction! Your family pictures are so adorable! I love the video! Teyha has a wonderful dog communication style! Her play bows are priceless. My favorite part was watching the fiance trying to direct the action by pointing... hahahaha...great film!

Thanks guys!
re: Yorkie - My parents live in the country near a busy highway and lost two Yorkies to cars & Coyotes. Only need to leave the gate open once and the worst happens! My mom was heartbroken and wasn't going to get another one. A few years later they did get another, and this time were really careful not to let her out on her own, fenced up the whole place tight, & got her obedience training so she wouldn't stray far. That's the yorkie in the video My mom is so careful that she brings Rocky to work with her now; Rocky stays in a little bed in the corner of the office! I would definitely say that losing a dog is heartbreaking, but it always seems to be worth it to get one for the time you get with them.

I think Tehya's cuter though haha

Welcome! I didn't know you were new here too! I just had to laugh at what you said about FB! I have 3 kids, and you would think Lucy was my 1st kid the way I am posting pics and milestones on fb! I just can't seem to help myself either!
