Default Greetings from Kansas!

Hello! I just found this forum, & thought I would introduce myself & my dog, Doodle ( I know ,REAL original name, huh? ).
I am a mom of 4 in rural Kansas, and my Doodle is just over a year old. I am seriously considering looking into training him to be a service dog for my 2 year old son who has cerebral palsy. He is an awesome dog, very smart & learns easily, great guard dog too.

Awww...my heart just melted when I saw Doodle...take a look at my avatar, and you'll see why!!! Oh! And a big welcome to the forum!!! Doodle and your son are two handsome boys! I think Doodle being a service dog for you son would be a wonderful thing...these dogs just seem to know when something is amiss and bond very closely...please keep us posted as to what you decide, and we'll be your very own private rooting team, as he progresses!!!

Hi! Welcome to the forum!
What a beautiful dog (well, 2 dogs) you have and your son is simply adorable! Love that last picture!
Please do keep us posted about your decision regarding service work...maybe I can help you find some resources to train your Doodle (love the name!) at home.
So glad you posted!

Your pics are so cute!! I know you'll get some great advice on how to train your pup to be service dog on this forum. Jac provides a wonderful service dog service. Doodles seem to be incredible with children!

Thanks for all the kind welcomes! Doodle is a great dog, the other night I taught him to stand up on his hind feet & give me a "High 5" in about 45 seconds! He is so smart!

They are very easy to train...well, most of the time!
I'd love to see a video of Doodle and the high five!
