Default Introducing Django

We have finally picked out our puppy and will be taking him home the first week of July. Jacque helpfully contributed to my labradoodle education and suggested this site for continuing ed so I'll just be hanging out for a while trying to find where all the newbie questions get answered--but I couldn't resist posting a picture while I am (impatiently) waiting for take home day. Looking forward to participating on this terrific forum, Jane

Welcome to the forum, Jane
Your baby looks absolutely scrumptious. How did you get his name? Is the "D" silent when you pronounce his name? I think you'll find lots of new friends here, and loads of fun learning to have. And it won't be long before your little tyke is here, and we expect plenty of puppy pictures, we're crazy that way!

There's a doodle called Django in England, and he's a very handsome chap - it's a great name!

Thanks so much for all the lovely welcomes. Django is named for Django Reinhardt, gypsy jazz musician extraordinaire. The "d" is sort of silent--makes the "j" a bit harder than it would otherwise be. Nonetheless I expect that the first letter of my name and the first of his won't sound a whole lot different. Jane

Hi Jane!
I said this in another post, but I am officially welcoming you to the forum!
You will meet many friends and get a ton of great info!
Your pup is so danged cute...the picture you sent me was larger and I was able to see his coloring...I think that his coat has black tipped hair, is that right? He is really a gorgeous pup and I am very happy for you!

I really enjoy all these welcomes! Its great to have this resource for information and sharing. Jacque, I'm not seeing any black in Django's coat, not on the tip or anywhere else but we're visiting him in another week and I'll take more pictures. Right now I'm primarily sweating over the socialization versus safety issue--I actually went to the place where the humane society runs its class--its in a pet store and there is no sterilization or cleaning that occurs prior to the classes so even though Marin (according to the humane society ) has very few Parvo cases, I think I'm going to pass and find other safer avenues. Thanks again! Jane
