WELCOME EILEEN!!

This fits ME to a T!
My Bogart is also a Service Dog. When people ask if I'm training him and I say that he is mine, I get such strange looks!

Although I couldn't get one of Jac's pups as I live in Michigan and she in CA, she was more than willing to help me and answer my questions on just how to go about this.
I treasure her!! She is one compassionate and loving woman!!

I am so happy that your search has ended and you found Jac! I can't wait to hear your stories and successes!!

Eileen! Hi!! Welcome!

Thanks for the very nice post...I appreciate your kindness and I hope that others will feel encouraged to consider a service dog now that you have so clearly identified the nature of invisible disabilities. Linda has been a great advocate for recognition of such challenges...and, although, I hate to see people in pain and suffering...I am glad that there is a movement to recognize those invisible issues too...and I am very happy to play a small role in helping.

I know that you will enjoy this forum! Let me see if I can find a picture of Montana and Boomer to post...(FYI, Montana is the pup in line for Eileen, but we have a backup, Boomer, who is really excelling in his training...Montana is doing very well too, though, so I expect that he will belong to Eileen soon.)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I have not had a chance to meet my future service dog. I am busting at the seams to see him. SO I making myself busy reading positive training books, service dog training & researching food etc.

'Lindamarie' - a hidden disability is a unique challenge, glad to find another invisa-sister (that is my my professor of psychology of disabilities calls us. We have so much more to deal with as a woman with a hidden illness.) have you found a place to get a service dog??? IF you need help selecting a place I might be able to help. I have done alot of research. However, I do feel I won the geographic lottery - living near enough to Jac and Gabby Jack Ranch - Canine Service Connection. Such a blessing.

I have several questions that I want to ask you all, the experts...I think I should post them in the other section.

I am looking forward to getting to know folks and your Doodles!

Eileen in CA, Waiting for Montana (or Boomer) my future service dog in training.
