Hi, everyone! My name is Mary, I live in Soldotna, Alaska, and my current Doodle is an F1 caramel cream male named Ben, now about 3 and a half years old. Big boy -- stays 82 to 86 pounds.
I lost track of this group when my computer died last year, and when I got back on line I ended up with a new ISP, new email, new everything -- and never got back in touch. I have stayed busy organizing an Offleash MeetUp group locally, and participating actively in our local non-profit obedience group -- Ben and I adore all the people and all the dogs but feel this great hollow space in our life where other Doodles should be. He is the only one of his "people" in either group So all that is pretty ho-hum, BUT my reeeely, reeeely big news is...(drumroll, please) that DH has finally seen the light and we will be bringing home Doodle Number Two in about a week and a half! Little Miss No Name is a black F1 currently living with her mom and dad and eight siblings in Homer, just a couple hours down the road from us. So now all our dog friends and dogs will be treated for the first time to double Doodleness in our activities, and I once again feel a need to connect with the larger Doodle community. I'll post photos when I re-educate myself on how to do it. I foresee a photographic challenge in store for me -- getting a black Doodle and a (more or less) white Doodle in the same frame and having the exposure work out. Anyone have any tips for getting it right?? Mary in AK |

Welcome Mary!!! I have three black dogs right now 2 are mine only one doodle. It seems a black and white might be just the right combination for pictures. I try to have loads of good lighting. Natural is best as the flash will sometimes wash out the black and loose the shine on their coats. Also if you have the video feature on your camera capturing action pictures from the video is very nice. I use picasa and photobucket for those kinds of pictures. Good luck and glad to see you.
