Finally posting a picture

I finally took the time to figure out how to make an avatar, I hope this works. So here is Pepper, this picture was taken when we first got her, so she was almost 11 weeks and weighed a little less than 15 pounds. She turned 14 weeks today, and weighs 20 pounds. Her mom is 55 pounds, and dad is 65, but looking at the weights on one of the other discussions, she seems smaller than many of the other standard sized puppies on this board. She has already changed a lot since we got her. She is getting grayer, and looking less puppyish, and has become quite a bit more graceful. She is just wonderful with our 2 girls, and their friends. She is smart and knows how to sit, down, stand, leave it, and is doing very well at house training as well. She is surprisingly mellow, although she has some zoomy times too. My husband's allergies are just fine with her, thank heavens. I think she is going to be a great dog for our family. We have to work on not jumping up on people, not jumping up to look at what is on the kitchen counter, and her car sickness (poor puppy!). It feels like we were waiting forever to get her (we were remodeling our house and had to move to an apartment so we waited for another year until our house was done). Then I found her litter, and she and I have the same birthday. I think she was meant for us!

She is adorable Julia!!!! So glad she's a perfect fit for your family! Now you know everyone here is crazy for pics, so when you get the time......oh! and stories too!

AWW.....she is adorable!!

I can soooo remember Bogart being that little. He now is bordering on 70 LBS...

He wasn't suppose to be that big, but that's okay!! I love big dogs!!

She is just adorable, and almost the same age as my baby boy Beck- I sure wish we all lived close enough to have a doodle puppy romp!

sooooo happy to hear you talk about her and how well she's doign with you and your family
doodles really are special dogs and sooooooo sweet /loving!!!

the car sickness, you can work on it taking short drives and increase it a little bit at a time
it might help also i am trying to remember but I think you do try it when their tummy is empty?
been a while since Peanut decorated my truck side doors( let's hope i didn't jinx myself

It took Bogart a long time to get over car sickness. Although he never threw up, he drooled to the point of soaking his front legs and his little bed in the back of my Tahoe.
It did take some time and many rides to cure him. I know.........."poor baby"!!

What a cutie!! I can't wait to get my little girl home so I can go back to puppy school, too

But I am disturbed at the discussion of car sickness -- is this a common thing? Ben goes everywhere with us and we plan to have the baby go right along, as well. I guess I will find out when I drive the two hours to bring her home mid-month.

Good luck with getting her through it -- having your Doodle go with you is one of life's great pleasures!
