Default Lucy Loo

Well hopefully I have conquered photobucket and got a image of Lucy for all to see. Lucy Loo is a rescue Labradoodle we believe. We adopted her from the pound. She is approximately 1 yr old. She was found wandering on th road. No one claimed her and she was placed up for adoption. She has a healing injury to her Rt hind leg around the knee joint. She has a patch of fur that is growing back llike it had been scraped completely off. I massage the area for her and it seems not to hurt her. To say she is almost the perfect dog would be bragging, but.... She walks on the leash with no pulling. She doesn't jump up on you or the grand babies which are 5,3 and 15 months. She looks at the cats and walks past them. She gets along well with the other 2 dogs we have rescued. She has been staying inside with us, loves it and seems house broke. I took her yesterday to be groomed and the groomers bragged about how good she was during all the activity. She was the guest greeter for the day. My main concern is getting some weight on her and hopefully she will get full use of the back leg. She puts it down, but does not walk on it much. I'm so glad to have found this forum.

I believe I'm doing better with the photos. Any way here is a pic of Lucy after grooming. We wanted to give her coat a fresh start, plus i wanted to really see what her skin was like. On her left side she has one black spot about the size of a dime that goes all the way to her skin. Her coat was wiry et a mess. Linda

Ok....now I can officially say "WELCOME TO THE FORUM" Linda, Lucy and family!!! She looks like a real sweetheart Linda...I'm so happy to hear that you rescued her, and I'm sure she's happy to be with your family! It almost sounds like she might have been grazed by a car, from the sounds of your description of her...what did your vet think? Did he do any x-rays, or suggest any type of excercising that back leg? Just wondering...it doesn't sound like she's in any pain...
By the way, you're doing great with the pictures! Everyone on the forum is very helpful and full of knowledge concerning our Doodles..so ask any question you can think of regarding Miss Lucy Loo!!!! Glad you joined!!!! Oh...and we love funny stories too!
