Thx for all your comments. My 8 year old daughter made us badges to wear when we went to the vets! Hers says ' My dog walking coat' and you can possibly see it on the photo! Mine read 'Archie's mummy!'. I don't think our vet knew quite what to make of us - we had fun though!!!

Hi Jo - welcome to the forum....you made a good move joining it...there are so many knowledgeable people who are generous with their help and support. What part of Wales are you in....I know it quite well.

Archie is really cute...lovely colouring and beautiful eyes. Are you expecting him to have a fleece coat later?

My children and I are loving this site and espesially all the fab advice and lovely comments. Thanks so much.

Re: Which part of Wales - am originally from Llangollen but now leave nearer Chester! Have spent time in NZ too and have friends in the North Island - a beautiful place.

As for his coat - I HAVE NO IDEA how it will turn out Can anyone help me at this stage or is it too soon to tell?

Bye for now from a cold and wet Wales!

I know Chester quite well from holiday s, lovely town, and I lived in Aberystwyth for 3 years for uni....love Wales, which is possibly why I feel so at home here, north of Wellington....hills and sea, just like Aber.

I'm no expert on coats - Charlie's started out as fleece, went 'backwards' to hair and is now anybody's guess! Archie's coat looks lovely and soft...I'm guessing he might end up a fleece, but those with more experience than me may disagree. Whatever the coat, he's a beautiful colour....I want a light coloured one for my next one (ssshhh don't let my husband know! )

Archie is a little doll.

In the picture of him in the car, his coat looks like Sadie's did around that age, but the avatar looks more fleecy. Sadie is a F1 Labradoodle, if that helps you.

Here is a picture of Sadie at 11 weeks old

Here is a picture of her at 8 mos old

She's 9 mos old now and I can tell the hair is getting longer.

It's fun to watch them grow and change, but don't blink because it happens really fast..
