I HAVE one of each right now.........i'd say with my experience and others i know personally with F1 Goldendoodles they're naturally great with small kids
and infants meaning calm, dont' jump etc and when mature they can be downright lazy at times then spring to life

Peanut ...cream one in pic does NOT shed
labradoodles are also awesoem around kids

like JAC said it's the bREEDING parents to be more concerned about in regards to temperament ,energy levels, coat etc etc
most times if the breeding pair are calmer easy going laid back less submissive .....well then there's a good chance so will be the puppies

my breeder uses very laid back pairs..........thus max and peanut are quite calm compared to stories i hear about
BUT I also give them at least 2 or 3 runs out back daily for 30min at a time

FOR me .....peanut has been awesome with infant to small kids about 7yrs old
Max is great with infants but want to lick and jump a tiny bit around say 3 to 10yrs old

it depends on a dog's termperament and also the training along with socialization they get
