As you all know, Dex is very white and very fluffy - somehow, that fur picks up dirt very very quickly. We almost always put Dex on a leash for his potty breaks. Otherwise, he goes potty and then starts running around and gets filthy (I'm not up for multiple paw washings in the tub a day).
This past week I started letting him out himself again. I shake the bag of treats and tell him to "go potty" and amazingly he has started to go and then come right back for his treat. A few times he looked distracted and I just shook that treat bag and he refocused. Maybe there's hope yet for him? Yesterday he was so funny...he went and did his business, did 2 huge doodle 500 laps around the yard and then ran at full speed back into the garage and crashed into our cooler - silly doodle. Kirby can wander the yard for an hour and come back totally clean...I don't know what it is about that F1B fur!

It's the white color. It's a known fact that if you wear a white top, you will definately eat something with tomatoe sauce and spill some on your top. Guaranteed!
Remy doesn't have that problem unless he finds something to dig in and then oh boy.

Well at least you can see the dirt! Black dogs get dirty! The evidence is in my bed! I think I got all the dirt off them and when I go to bed there are little dirt rocks in my bed! I know first MAKE THE BED! Second COVER THE PILLOWS! Or the big one DON'T LET THE DOGS ON THE BED! I am a confirmed softy! So I bought me a whisk broom and brush the dirt off every night! I also wash my bedding a lot! So don't think they don't get dirty, you just can't see the dirt on a darker dog! Also my allergies tell me every night that my dogs need a bath!

I find the cream/white dogs so much easier to clean because at least you can see the dirt............
When Denver comes in from the mud you do not see anything but Ryder shows me just how dirty Denver must be......... We do not see the dirt on Denver until we put him in the bath to wash it off......... |
