Default The doodle gets the cheese

I'm starting to realize how much our doodles love cheese!! It was the treat we used for much of Kirby's haircut. Then this morning Dexter had my husband's sock and it's normally impossible to get him to drop it...I showed him the cheese and he though about it for a few minutes, but then did drop it.

Do your doodles also go crazy for cheese?

Haven't tried any with Miko and Rumor. Jonah thinks there's nasty stuff (pills) in cheese, so he has no interest in cheese or peanut butter. He has the memory of an elephant!!

Yummmm... Cheese! Yes! They love it. I almost forgot that I could use that for treats until you mentioned it. I try to stay away from grains so most of their treats are just meat - dried liver and other animal parts.

Normally, for Wayne, I have to use boring treats. If I have something too exciting in my hand, he totally forgets what he is supposed to be doing and is single minded about getting the treat out of my hand. LOL! My son asked why we don't bring the good treats to obedience class. I just bring a baggie full of kibble. It's because I want Wayne to go through the whole exercise before getting his treat. He would go bonkers if I walked around with liver in my hand.

CHEESE is the #1 favorite treat for Max and Peanut....in fact i even brought cheese to OB in a bag to classes in past
moz is fav, then american, swiss, cheddar, colby jack etc. I just make sure they get small amounts. Once in a while i will toss some
shredded cheese on top of their meals

When I went to feeding the dogs at specific times in the day (instead of putting the food out all of the time) my dogs stopped eating until I flavored their food with grated cheese. I only use a bit but they don't go on strike unless I forget to treat them with cheese.

Striker comes running when he hears the lunch meat drawer. Napa soon picked up this habit, but I'm not sure if it was for the love of cheese or not. Mom likes to eat the Kraft cheese for a snack, so they both get little bits when she does! I'm so excited to bring Napa home. I get to spoil him!!!

Nicky loves cheese! If I'm making a sandwich or a meal that includes cheese, Nicky always gets a small bit—Swiss, extra sharp cheddar, feta, American, etc.—he loves them all! He seems to like any people food I give him except carrots!

Looking at Abby's cake gave me a great idea. For Christmas, I am going to frost Wayne and Charlie's salmon cookies with cheese. That should make this happy doods!

Jonah is an odd ball. Doesn't he know that all dogs love cheese?

Hugo and Spud have something they love even more and that's paw paw. I can be poking about in the kitchen doing stuff and as soon as I pick up a paw paw they've been known to wake from a coma and they are beside me looking like they'll die if I don't give them a bit. They also love bananas and oranges. Well, any fruit really, but that's because they've been raised on the BARF diet.

I'm finding their appetites delightful and convenient, but still a bit strange as all my previous dogs have eaten conventional commercial dog foods.

All my dogs adore cheese (even tho they only get it in minute cubes). I cut it up and put it on a plate in the fridge to dry out for a few days...that way it doesn't make your pocket all greasy
