I don't want to jinx myself but to-date (meaning 15yrs now) we don't get ticks HOWEVER i keep 5acres out of 6 mowed down constantly
the wood piles are in edge of woods, the deer mostly stay away from house. we get fox ( how Max got mange)...fleas aren't bad here either. WEEDS though.....if only i could sell them, i'd have a ton of $$$

they get baths and conditioning treatment tomorrow and think i'll try to hand trim her a bit too

WEll those are two very happy doodles !!!
we started out in the teens and got to 32 by around 6pm, had snow showers off and one, a dusting which was pretty |

Yawn, hate to tell you Annmarie, in our winters you can wear short sleeves on a lot of days. Our summer top temp is around 24 - 26 C. Our winter tops around 17 - 19 C. Quite a few people here swim every day all year. Too cold for me though. Of course, our dogs will never have the fun of playing in snow though.

Hagrid also got a bath today because he had so many tennis ball sized snowballs stuck in his coat that I had to spray him down with warm water to melt them anyway.. I figured he may as well get clean while he was all wet
