(ok, not a very pleasant title
i was thinking yesterday that i ought to write an update on sammy's tummy issues and declare that she seems all better now - on a steady diet of california natural herring & sweet potato, GI supplement from Only Natural at each meal, and a frozen cube of pumpkin every day. she does get some treats, but pretty limited and only ones that do not contain chicken, and very rarely some human food. i can't say her poops are the most solid ever, but, they are a vast improvement over the pudding ones we dealt with for a long time. at least now they are usually well-formed! i was so happy! but of course - i jinxed it!!!! i gave her a teaspoon of yogurt yesterday, and today her poops were awful and soft again =( at least i know what to cut out!

Happy pooping to Sammy. May all your droppings be firm ones.

Happy to report we have some firm poop again this morning - hurray! I doubled up on her pumpkin dose yesterday.
I also started using the old "heat up the food" trick again after seeing it on a Victoria Stillwell show and I am absolutely amazed how well it is working to get Sammy to eat up (she's not much of an eater otherwise) -- usually she takes the entire day to eat her 2/3 cup portion. But now, I put some hot water on the kibble and mix it up, and she literally finishes it in minutes!!! Maybe she'll be on a constant pooping schedule now too!!!

we can only use Plain Yogurt here and have to watch the amount ....or talk about major SBD's being set off
also found out TOO MUCH Pineapple and a doodle can't poop hardly at all so with time we learn what is and isn't digestibly compatible and in which direction as well.

LOL this thread reminds me of when I went to mother and baby groups with my first.....conversations were almost exclusively about the contents of our babies' nappies!!
