Doodle Romp possibilities in Chicago suburbs & Ann Arbor
Hey all - people and dogs -
I am following Heather's excellent lead from last summer and would love to see if there is anyone interested in joining us for a mini-doodle romp! --> We'll be in the northern suburbs of Chicago for Thanksgiving weekend (we're staying in Wheeling) and would love a doodle date for Friday! Forum members suggested a few parks in the area, so let us know if you want to get together! --> We are throwing a little party for Sammy's 1st birthday here in Ann Arbor on Sat, December 6th at 2 pm. We're meeting up at Olson Park (Dhu Varren & Pontiac Trail) and I'll be providing both people and dog snacks to be served in the little picnic area outside the dog enclosure. Let me know if you are interested in either! I'd love to meet more forum members - I've already gained a good friend here in Ann Arbor through this board!

Hey _ Hamish I would love to come - we're only about 45 minutes away, we live on Grosse Ile Unfortunately, that's the morning after his neuter - so I'm thinking we'll have to pass this time - but please keep us in mind!!! Happy Birthday and Have a good Romp in Chicago we were just there last weekend - Hamish had a sleepover at his friend Butter's house!!

I am right next door to Wheeling in Buffalo Grove, but unfortunately do not have the Friday after Thanksgiving off.
 Which park will you be at? I'm assuming it's one of the great Lake County Forst Preserve parks?

Sammy,
I am sorry that I can't come celebrate your birthday with you. Mom said something about it being really cold up there in MI and that I wouldn't like it!!! She is probably right. Maya says that snow sucks so I am going to stay away from the cold and snow!!! Oh and we have our Christmas party at our daycare that day. Mom said something about smiling for pics with Santa. I hate pics I am not gonna smile at all. I will be giving my mean face!!! Have a great birthday and if you need a recipe for apple cake have your Mom email my mom. My mom's got a good recipe!!! I'm in the Chicago area but no where near Wheeling. I'm not sure if Wayne is ready for a road trip. He threw up just going to obedience class last week.
 Do you have specific plans or were you looking for suggestions? Deb

Very interested in a Doodle romp in Chicagoland suburbs. There is a free dog park in Wooddale, IL that is fenced in. We went there a few weekends ago. Kinder lasted about 45 minutes and when the "big" dogs started playing rough he hid behind me. I took the hint and we left. Anytime just let me know :P Tracie
