My Birthday by Dakota (pics)
Today started like any other day. When mom's alarm went off, I jumped into bed with her 'cause she always says that's when she sleeps best!
 Then, after a few of what mom calls snoozes, I went out to visit dad who was already up but doing what he calls dozing on the couch. I like the very first thing in the morning cause dad scratches my butt while mom scratches my chest--it's really cool and feels sooooo good! Then mom gets ready to go to work and I go snuggle up on the other couch and do some of dad's snoozing. After mom goes to work, me and dad usually go for a ride. Sometimes we go for a quick breakfast and a lot of times we go to Home Depot. I love going there cause I get to go in and everybody fusses over me!  Then today mom came home and we went for a ride to get my birthday present which was gonna be a new squeaky tennis ball dumbell but they didn't have the really big one that I like so mom said I'll get it soon cause now she'll have to order it. Then we came home and I got to go swimming!!! Dad thinks its too cold but it's not too cold for me!!!  Mom said this pic isn't really good except you can see how much I love swimming!  My "big brother" Sparky has a really mean game that he even played on my birthday! He doesn't like to swim but he loves to block me from going in and coming out of the water; and when I do get out, he yanks on my tail!!! I HATE this game!!!  Then after I played in the water for about an hour, I got to dry off by playing with my new tennis ball pitching machine! That was also a birthday present 'cept I got it early cause dad wanted to play with it!  I can hardly wait for the ball to get loaded.  Then I run out and get into position.  Mom or dad launches my tennis ball and if I'm REALLY LUCKY, I catch it!!  After a whole bunch of pitches, I was getting tired so I came in for a break. Then I went to grandma's for a birthday hug and a treat! Now I'm waiting for dinner and maybe a piece of birthday cake for dessert!!!

You are a very handsome doodle! Nice pictures! I'm sure you will be sleeping in this morning. What an action packed day you had. To bad birthdays aren't everyday, huh?

Boy Dakota...you sure look like you were having a lot of fun!!! What's up with Sparky biting on your tail????
Hahahahaha....if he's blocking you from going back in the water, then you'll just have to push him in and do a 'cannonball'!!!!  Great pics Diane! Thanks for posting them!!!

Thanks everyone!!!! And mom says I get to do it all over today since the weather is soooo good!! --I think mom forgets that I have loads of the fun when there weather is cold and snowy too, but I don't want to say anything bout that just yet!!
