Default How to make Jonah grumpy!

Three easy steps to make Jonah grumpy in the morning....
1) sleep in
2) delay breakfast by doing something else first
3) ask him if he's grumpy

I slept in this morning, something that rarely happens. Took the doods out for a potty and it's raining. When I got back in I made my coffee as usual, then instead of feeding the starving beast immediately, I had to do something else. After FINALLY feeding him, he laid down next to my chair with a hrumph. I said Jonah are you grumpy?? He let out a little growl. I repeated the question....he let out a longer growl. Upon asking the third time he barked!! Through all of this the tail is wagging and I'm cracking up. He can be such a character at times! Just don't mess with his morning routine!!

Gene that is a funny story!!! I'm glad my girls aren't on a schedule!!! They don't seem to care what time they eat. However if you delay my breakfast in the morning I'd be grumpy too!!!

He tried to wake me up earlier, but I wouldn't let him, so he had resigned himself to finish the "night" by laying next to me.....putting all of his 90+# weight into his head and resting it on my shoulder! This did the trick to get me up!

That is hilarous!

Our doods definitely have internal clocks. They know they eat by 7:30 am and then by 5-6 pm. Kirby starts staring at us w/a tail wagging if we delay his dinner!

Miko and Rumor will wait patiently in their cages. Jonah, on the other hand, makes a big production of looking miserable and abused. Lots of sighing and nosing the food container. I think if he could pick up the bowl, he would bring it to me like Snoopy in Peanuts!

Ah Jonah, you're Mr. personality! Cali's pretty quiet about it, but she does start sighing when she thinks enough is enough.

Oh these doodles are just too cute, not just their looks but their personalities!!! Mine does the sit and stare when she thinks it is well past time to be fed! When that doesn't work, I get the poke with the old wet nose followed by the most adorable look she can muster, LOL!

ROFL Gene, Jonah has it all figured out and plays you like a violin. He knows you're a softie and can't stand to feel guilty.

that's too funny GENE!

max keeps pawing me and whining for food and if not gets the food bowls moving them around the floor till he gets them closer to me and gives a shrill wine/bark. Peanut tries to get food container open with LUNA

This all has to be genetic...that is a better description from what I wrote before. Kirby is a whiner for food too...and he does the pawing. Their dad probably caries the "need to eat now" gene

Listen to me my big handsome hungry Jonah! I'm starving to death in the morning too...in fact all I do is think of food, and you of course.... So have your Dad print out this picture, stick it on the fridge, and you can drool looking at me instead of being grumpy while you're waiting for your breakfast! How's that sound???
xxoo,
Molly!
