Default TATTLE TALE!

So, the doodles are not allowed on the couch and they know that. Well, Calvin has never been the most obedient creature on the planet, so he often sneeks on when I get up to go in the kitchen. He lays as flat as he can as if I won't notice he's there when I get back. It makes me laugh, but then I have to order him off and he SLOWLY slinks off.

Recently, I got up to go to the bathroom and I hear Madge moaning and groaning about something. Not barking, not growling...just 'talking'.. I come back to see what the commotion is about and there is Calvin on the couch and Madge has ahold of his front leg trying to drag him off!!!
I think she was telling on him! I praised her for being a good girl and of course scolded Calvin for being on the couch....I thought it was very cute and it happens every time he gets on the couch now!

I am sitting here cracking up at your story...we had a very similar one recently

We were eating dinner and Kirby peaked into the kitchen and then came and sat next to my husband and started pawing at him and was yelping a bit...we told him to knock it offbut he wouldn't. 10 seconds later we heard a sound and went to look and Dexter had eaten a burger bun off the counter.

We gave Dex a time out and Kirby immediately went to lay down. We cannot know how dogs think, but we totally thought he was telling on his brother

Denver always tells me when the cats are up to no good.........
He referees their fights but if they are knocking stuff off the counter
he comes and gets me to follow him into the kitchen.
I think it comes from when he was a puppy and the cats always
knocked things off when he would walk by either they wanted to
hit him with the objects or blame him for the stuff on the floor
He and I were on to the cats early though...........
