Not only are they adorable, cuddly and super cute, they are such fast learners!!!!
We had taken an obedience class earlier in the summer but for various reasons did not get as much out of it and I didn't feel we learned much. So, we've been working hard on some of the behaviors we covered in the class and hoping to get those down pat. I was so amazed -- within 15 minutes, she learned a new command! It was "spot" (as in, "go to your spot" which is a mat in the living room) and we went through all the stages - first rewarding the behavior with no command, then saying "spot" as she was heading towards the mat, and finally saying "spot" and having her just go to her mat - which I kept moving around to make sure she really knew what she was doing! It was SO great to watch. What other fun things do you teach your dog? She knows - sit, down, stand, come, stay, high five, spin, working on heel, and now touch and spot.

Yes it really is amazing to watch them learn
Ours are older and past a lot of the early learning...but recently I trained Kirby to go into the kid pool we have to clean off his dirty paws before we come inside. I am still using a physical reward (toy or treat), but he totally 100% gets it. He does "in the pool", "out of the pool" and then repeat to make sure the paws are clean
