Default A great vet visit!

We took Semi to the vet today for her first check up!! She was wonderful and the vet could not believe how calm and well behaved she was.

We found a vet that believes in Holistic medicine as well as Western and we were so pleased. He was friendly, knowledgeable and was really thrilled with the Doodle hybrids in general. He raised Standard Poodles and believes that the mix with the Labrador is a wonderful thing.....YEAH!!

He suggested that we switch out of Royal Canin to a better food brand but to do it slowly. He has already written to Canidae to complain about their involvement with the new manufacturer and said that he knew of a bunch of upscale pet stores that were no longer carrying the brand.

Again, thanks to you all, I knew to take the time and really research a vet. We are so thrilled that we saw eye to eye on everything. He spent an hour with us!! Whoo Hooo. It is a huge load of my mind to know we found a good one!

For those who asked, Semi is 21 pounds and three months today!!

That's great!!! A good vet is hard to find!!! I am still looking for one that I love. I had one but then she couldn't help with My's poo problem so we went to another and they had a remedy really fast but My doesn't really like that vet (he's a man and she is still in her I am scared of some men stage)so I am torn. I would love to have a "duel" vet like yours. Gives you many more options in treatments.

Semi is going to be a big girl!!!

I'm glad you found a good vet! It makes all the difference when something unexpected comes up and you need to rush or call in.
