Default Coming up for air!!!

This is the longest I've been away and miss you guys. I'm usually here daily, but lately with this training it's been go,go,go!
So I wanted to say HELLO and give you a brief update.

As of Thursday, I had Bogart walking down my street OFF LEASH right at my side!!!

Next week, after daily practice.. we travel with Vladae to stores, pet stores, parks and more areas where he's exposed to dogs that could make him want to bust loose!! That of course is a NO,NO!! So, we'll see how he does.

Today was a bit of a failure. We took him to a track at a local high school and everytime I dropped his leash, he'd labor behind and lie down.
Vladae is calling it passive aggression. I'm calling it confusion.
All in all he is doing excellent and is 90% better than he even was a week ago. Bring on the exhaustion!!! This has been a lot of work!...and we're not done yet!!

Anyway.........Hellooooooooooooo all and see ya soon!!

Yay Bogart. Sounds like you are doing really well with your training. Tell mum that after all that work a little lay down at the track was a must. Look forward to here how you are progressing. Way to Go Bogart!

Thanks for the encouragement!
Let me tell you the hardest part of this for me emotionally.
Some things I was doing with Bogart have to be changed.
He is:
-No longer allowed on the bed.. It has broke my heart to get this sweet, lovable doodle off my bed.
Vladae said that once we have fully established that I am ALPHA, I can bring him back to snuggle
-No longer allowed on any furniture
-He has to wear 2 special collars for this training and they WORK, but it's confusing to me. I'm always thinking if I did this or that right.

This will soon be over. It didn't take long for me to become the ALPHA. I was so wishy-washy and so.......ooooooooh little Bogie....that he was taking advantage of me!

I'm sure we will totally reap the benefits of this in the end. For 10 months old, Vladae has said he's been one of the easiest dogs and is very intelligent and responds well.
Now we have to overcome the itty-bitty passive agressiveness that he show.
My poor baby!!!!! I can't wait to hold him in bed and snuggle again........now I get on the floor!!
