This morning I decided to listen MTD's suggestion to stop carrying Kirby to the hose. I put him on a leash and grabbed several liver treats (high prize treats). He walked 1/2 way to the hose and then stopped (and refused to move). I tossed a treat in front of him and he walked to get it...I continued this (tossing treats in front of him) until we reached the hose...definitely better than carrying him
It's amazing - just a few months ago he would totally freek when he was near hose (when it was turned on) and he is 90% better now!!

it worked again - this time we had to hose his full body off (after some time in the pool) - just lured him with the treats and then we hosed him down. I make sure to give him lots of praise (and kisses) while my husband is hosing him down to show him it's a positive thing...and then another treat when we are done and back in the garage. I wonder if we can use this at all with the electric clippers...
