Sammy's exciting weekend!

Wow, Sammy the social butterfly had quite the weekend - possibly her busiest ever! On Friday she went to Daycamp at Petsmart and played with her new BFF, a 4-month old terrier puppy. Saturday morning she was groomed and got a stylish (not!) new haircut -- we call it the 80's rocker look, with a mop of her on the top of her head and shaved ears.... Fortunately, she can't recognize herself in the mirror

And today was the real highlight of her social calendar -- we started out the day with brunch on an outdoor patio with some friends. It was pretty hot out, so she mostly rested nicely under our chairs; cleverly, she turned over her water bowl and lay right in it to cool down - haha! From there we headed to a riverfront park to go canoeing. She was the star of the show there, with several people stopping their boats near us to check her out. Finally, we ended the day with a BBQ at our friends' new house with a great fenced yard. She got to run around free and play with their 2 year old son, who squealed and laughed every time he touched her, it was too cute. I was SO proud of her - she was so gentle with the little boy and even though he was sometimes a little too enthusiastic in his hugging, she kept still and never once snapped or nipped at him. It was adorable to see them together! Now she's sprawled out next to the couch, pooped out from her busy day.

Oh I wish I had taken some myself, I forgot my camera! But our friends took some so I'll try to get those up and posted.
