Those photos are so cute!!! Keep trying with him - I just think it takes some time. Kirby has warmed up a tiny tiny bit to swimming after ~1-2 months of work.

Great pics!!! Keep taking him in. He'll get used to it. Sadie who hates water is starting to come around a little. She got in the pool at daycare by herself yesterday!

We might look into a life preserver...
He can swim, but he has to try real hard to keep his head up so we think maybe thats what throws him a little.

But its so hot out and he lays right in the sun all the time so we'd like to try to get him to like the pool a little more.

Very very cute!!!
I did use a lifejacket on Denver so he would be
very comfortable in the water and he is a total waterdog now.
Good start to to making him feel confident!!!!

I agree that a lifejacket may help...Dexter swims like a fish w/his on, but is all out of sorts w/o it on...we say it's his bathing suit It definitely has helped with Kirby too - he put his back legs on the bottom of the pool (it's only 3 feet deep) when he didn't have the lifejacket on

I also found that with Napa it helped to have him doing something while in the pool. Dad and I played with him, having him go back and forth between the two of us, and then I introduced a tennis ball, and well that was the end of that.... I need to get pictures of Napa in the pool too! I forget when I'm getting ready to go in.....

Awwwwww. He is such a sweetie. Give it more time and i bet he will like it. A life jacket will help. I haven't taken mine in a pool yet.
