Bogart's evaulation.. I was asked for tips so here's a few

I don't want to be a braggart, but what the heck!
My husband and I were shocked!

This guy only stands to make money off us and yet he basically told us we don't need him!
Well, we need him if we want to make an old dog out of a 9 month old puppy.
He said that we were very lucky and Bogie is very well trained and behaved. He told us several stories of other dogs and some Golden and Labradoodles and said he'd never seen one this good before.
I almost fell of my chair.
He said that 90% of the dogs he sees need help to major help. He said we fall in the upper 10% where there is only refining or finishing school left to do.
He kept reminding us that he's still a puppy and puppies can be "silly hearts"!! hahahaaa!

So, he said give it a few more months. He'll be a year old in September. If we need him, he could take Bogart for 4 weeks or so and refine him. But, he thinks it'll just come with age.
He was here for 2 1/2 hours and everything went so smoothly!

As far as Service, he said people like that woman will give me hard time and to expect this periodically.
He said if I had a script from a doctor, it would help, but that I don't need to explain myself to anyone..........it's my business. He feels Bogie will make an excellent Service Dog for me and others!

That is just wonderful! It is amazing that you got this perfect doodle and the rest of us are stuck with the crazy ones!! LOL!

LINDA you have every right to be so happy and proud of BOGIE
and yourself. You've both worked hard together as well as did it with much love and patience too.

Not so!!!! All these doods are wonderful!!
Don't forget, Bogie is still a puppy and does like to chomp on plants and not come when called when doing the doodle 500!!
I am so impressed with all your doodles!!
They're just perfect dogs!!

Thanks everyone! I am on cloud nine tonight!! Things don't normally work this well for me.

Wow, Linda! This is really fantastic!
Bogie is a great dog...and you are a great trainer! It takes both to achieve such a level of competence. I am so proud of you!

From what I've seen on this forum, we have great dogs AND some pretty awesome owners! Linda, you should be proud of Bogie AND yourself! You have had a LOT to do with the wonderful dog he is, you know!!!! You are a great team!
