Default Dexter update

Well Dex is definitely improving every day. His appetite is insane...we are still splitting his meals a bit, but he will receive his normal amount today (just over 3 meals) and he's just so hungry!! He got to start walks today so we went this morning and he had lots of energy and was very interested in the squirrels/rabbits

My husband took off yesterday to be with him one more day - I guess he tried to initiate wrestling with Kirby several times so he is clearly feeling better. He is alone today with a tee shirt and cone for protection - I'll make sure to take a goofy photo of him when we get home. I told my husband I'll take Kirby to the park after work and he can play some controlled fetch in a small area with Dex to get some of his energy out

Only a few more days of quiet and he should be able to start being more normal

P.S. It's so much fun showering with Dex in the bathroom...he has his head in the curtain watching the entire time and tries to catch any drops of water that fall his way - he's such a goof!

I'm so glad Dexter is healing so quickly. Keep it up Dexter so you can run and play with Max and Peanut this weekend.

I'm surprised you let him anywhere near the shower! LOL! I'm glad to hear he is doing better.

haha...seriously. I was teasing that I wanted to find a way for him to realize that he is in the state he is because he ate the drain cover...I considered showing him a drain cover...and if he went to take it to immediately put his cone on as punishment I somehow don't think that would work.

He is hilarious when we shower...his love of water is ridiculous!

Great news Leslie!
I have to laugh at leaving him alone with the T shirt! Bogart would never allow that!
I had a Bouvier years ago that had testicular cancer. He use to wear shorts and left them on!! He was a sweet dog!! But that's not for now.

They do get sooo hungry after not eating much!! Poor baby!! More food mom!!

hahahaha!! You should've asked for the original drain cover and showed that to him! I know, that was sick of me!!
