I called the vet - they said Dex was doing great...he was sitting up by the end of the day yesterday and was resting comfortably today. Everyone there loves him (he's spent waaaay too much time there the past several months) so I'm sure he's getting lots of love.

Poor Kirby didn't want to eat his breakfast this morning until we sat with him...he knows something is up or misses his brother. He was very calm last night - played some fetch (he just loves his new dinosaur cuz toys!!) and then slept.

WOW i am getting so excited here ...Leslie, DH, dex, kirby arrive Friday afternoon!

NOW leslie anything i've missed let me know as i have learned from your most recent posts:1. HIDE all 5 of remotes we have
2. NO stuffed animal toys at all
3. no chicken for Dexter but he loves HOT (wing) SAUCE
4. Kirby needs calcium supplements as that's why he ate drywall
5. NO throw pillows left out on couches
6. Hide MY big stuffed animals on chairs and couches
7. do NOT walk Your doodles off leash
8. TEACH KIRBY how to float on pool lounger like peanut does
but let Dex swim if stitches are healed
9. HAVE LOTS OF BEER on Hand & remind myself doodles aren't allowed any (jus messin wit ya)

10. we don't have plastic drain covers only steel built in ones ....they're safe right?

11. we don't have tennis balls Only Kong ones and more than one
12. ARE your doodles okay laying under a gazebo on the pool deck to stay cool and out of the sun or do they need doggie beds in there for them?

actually you can take Dex off leash...he is quite good at listening (especially if he knows you have a treat!!), but we'll have to see how he is healthwise. Kirby however is fine...except if he sees a squirrel, etc
