Default Had to giggle

I went to the vets office this morning to buy wormer for my puppies and found they've got 2 new ladies working there. I asked them for Nemex liquid wormer for 8 ten lb puppies. One headed toward the back room, and the other stood there staring at me like I'd asked for something in a foreign language.
She said "You need what?"
I said "I need Nemex wormer for eight 10 lb puppies.... she says OK and walks away. About 5 mins later the 2 come back out with this large jar filled with wormer and a handful or oral syringes. The first lady says "You give 1.5 mg for each 10 lbs of body weight" and sets it on the counter.

I asked "How many doses is this?"
The second lady says "32"
I said "I asked for 8..." She said "but don't you want to do them each 4 times?"
ROFL... I had to explain to her that this is the 4th time, they're all going to their new homes and if they were 10 lbs AT BIRTH we'd all be in awe.
So they both go back to the back room again, waste another 5 minutes reducing the amount by 3/4 and bring it back to me. It still looked like more than I asked for, but at this point I wasn't willing to stand there and try to reason with this pair any longer. So one of them rang it up, along with 4 oral syringes, charged me $9 and I left.

I got home, wormed all the 8 week old pups, all 4 of the 2 week old ones, and still have enough wormer left for at least the next two wormings.

I know they can't take back the extra... and I seriously did try to help them get it right... sadly you just can't fix stupid. So I got a bargain today.

You know you tried so don't worry about it. You just have extra now.

They may not last long if they're go to cause financial loss for the vet. Your request sure made sense to me.
