we drove up to wine country/russian river for a long weekend and boy did she have a blast out in the country. (i must save up for a california country home - ha) we hit some wineries, where she frolicked in the vineyards with the vineyard dogs, played in the river (wouldn't go in beyond her knees), but her fave part was hanging out the car window.

Hey, Mary! It is funny that someone from SF would visit lil'ol' Healdsburg for fun!
Dave and I were married at Armstrong Grove...right there along the Russian River...needless to say, I love that area...it truly is gorgeous. Do you ever go to Korbel? That is a favorite of ours. I love your pictures! |

Ah, if you ever get a chance to move and get that Labradoodle farm, let me know! I can help!! LOL
I can just picture the lovely time you had...honestly, I think that the areas in Sonoma and Napa Counties are the most beautiful anywhere. Armstrong Grove was the first place I visited when I arrived and I was amazed at the size and beauty...and the silence, sort of spritual way of the woods...it is a magical place. We went to Korbel, to the deli, after our ceremony...sipped champagne and ate a lovely meal while we enjoyed the gorgeous scenery... Thanks for bringing back the lovely memories! |

I LOVE that pic with the golden gate bridge in the back!!!
We have also been to Korbel, we love their "Sec" champagne.....always have to order it as the stores never carry it here My step-daughter lives in Geurneyville....yes it is beautiful there! The only down side for me is when it rains for a long time....everything is so damp & slimy. And those yucky banana slugs come out! Yuck!! |
