Hi Everyone,
Life has been busy with 2 little ones and I don't get a chance to post often lately it seems. But I really wanted to take the time to share a great story with you. Last week I took my two sons to school at 8:30 in the am. After dropping them off, Bailey and I went to the off leash area for our daily walk. That early in the morning there often are few dogs around for Bailey to play with. This particular morning was the same. Darn. But then off in the distance I see another dog running our way. It looks like a puppy so I am happy that Bailey will have someone to run with. As it gets closer I am surprised as it looks very much like a black labradoodle like Bailey. The owner finally catches up to us and tells me her dog is indeed a labradoodle also. I've run into so few around here. We start chatting. In the back of my mind I am thinking 'they look waaay to alike, but then many black F1 labradoodles do look alike. I asked the owner how old her dog is and she says 5 1/2 mos. My heart sinks as I tell her Bailey is 6 1/2 months old. She says 'well Jack actually will be 6 months on Feb 18th' (I was counting weeks, she was counting months). 'The 18th' I say, knowing exactly where this was going now as Bailey was born on the 18th also. Long story short: they are brothers!! Twins for that matter. I believe we were put on that path on the same day at the same time that early morning for a reason. Both the other owner and I had goosebumps and couldn't believe it. Bailey and Jack played and played, almost like maybe they somehow knew they were brothers. They are so alike. Both are blowing their puppy coats, both have excitable peeing, both have new white hairs growning down their backs and more...The other owner also has two sons close in age to mine and we hit it off immediately. We've already agreed to meet for walks twice a week and to care for each other's dogs when one is away. I was thinking of getting another doodle so Bailey would have a playmate but now that his brother will be part of his life I don't feel that need anymore. It's really been the start of a great new friendship for both Bailey and myself!! Just wanted to share... here's a pic of the brothers. Bailey is on the left.

I actually called my breeder today for a question and he offered me Samanta's sister for free. I cant stop thinking about going to get her. I really dont want 2 but i think I will get her, train her for a month, and then give her to my 8 yr old daughter who lives with her mom.
Well happy days to many happy doodle owners and the doodles siblings.

OMG how cute are they?! They do look like bookends. I so wish I knew the name of Dex's breeder. I'd love to hook him up with siblings.

Wow, it is so interesting how many of you have met your labradoodles siblings. I love the simularities!
Cracker9ball - I think you should go for it! Sounds like a great offer and then Samantha will have a sibling to play with all the time too! Let us know what you decide!
